Illawarra Flames

My very favourite tree, the Illawarra Flame (Brachychiton) is a source of great joy and pride not just because of its glorious shockingly bright red blossoms but also because it is named after the region in which Steve and I live. To discover the trees in Northern NSW and to witness my brother Phil’s shocked delight at seeing them for the first rime was surreal.
