Twyfelfontein
2024
In 2023, we travelled with Will our then 16-year-old grandson to Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The painting captures a section of 6000-year-old rock engravings on the face of a sandstone mountain at Twyfelfontein, Namibia. The engravings were created by hunter gatherers and then Khoikhoi herders as part of religious rituals.
This painting was awarded 2nd prize in the Landscape section of the Albion Park Annual Show Art Prize, 2025.
