Homage to Ben Quilty and Captain S

In an art class exercise, I was asked to attempt to copy the style of a favourite artist. The first time I saw Ben Quilty’s series of After Afghanistan paintings I was reduced to tears: they are so evocative of the intense mental anguish that was experienced by the soldiers.
